The Green-Blue Nexus: Forests, Landscapes and Services

24-29 September 2017, Halle Germany

 

We invite all of you to participate to the next IUFRO Landscape Ecology Working Party Conference that will take place at MLU Halle Wittenberg, Germany. September 24 – 29, 2017. Our meeting theme, “The Green-Blue Nexus”, addresses the conflict between provisioning services (the “Green”), such as timber / biomass and forest by-products (food and fodder) and regulating services (the “Blue”) (e.g., cleaning drinking water, flood and erosion regulation) in relation to other impacts on biodiversity and the supporting structures and key ecological processes that enable the supply of these services.

Important deadlines:

Symposia/workshop proposals submission: 15th March 2017
Notification of symposia acceptance: 5th April 2017
Call for symposia abstracts: 15th April 2017
Abstract submission deadline: 14th July 2017
Notification of abstract acceptance: 11th August 2017
Deadline early-bird registration: 31st August 2017

The call for abstracts is now open until 1° July 2016. The presentations will be evaluated for the Scientific Committee and the decision will be available at the beginning of August 2016 for their check of final acceptance.

Body text: Maximum of 300 words with an introductory phrase, objectives, methods, results and conclusions.
Language: It will accepted contributions in Spanish, Portuguese and English.
