Extension of Abstract Submission Deadline

August 11-13, 2015. University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta Canada

We have received a number of abstracts but still have space available for talks and posters. Consequently, we have extended the deadline for abstract submission to March 9, 2015.

Please note that while the conference theme focusses on spruce in mixed forests, we also invite presentations and posters that are relevant to Division 8 (forest environment) and Working Group 1.01.08 (ecology and silviculture of spruce).

The conference will focus on benefits, issues, and options associated with growing and managing spruce in mixed forests. We also invite presentations and posters that are relevant to Division 8 (forest environment) and Working Group 1.01.08 (ecology and silviculture of spruce). The program will include invited keynote speakers, volunteer presentations, a panel discussion, and a poster session. A post-conference tour will explore management of Alberta’s forests, including the boreal mixedwood forest in central and northern Alberta and forests on the east slopes of the Rocky Mountains.
